Estrildis became King Locrin’s mistress and Hafren was soon born. Upon King Cornelious’ death, King Locrin divorced Gwendolyn and married Princess Estrildis. Gwendolyn was angry and vengeful. Gwendolyn order that Estrildis and her daughter be thrown into the river and drowned.
